The Croton-on-Hudson Water Department will be replacing a valve along Maple Street on Oct. 4, prompting a water shut off in the area of Maple Street and Old Post Road South.

The shutdown is scheduled for approximately 7 p.m. on Thursday, and should last approximately two hours. Westbound Maple Street will be closed between Grand Street and Old Post Road during the duration of the repair. Eastbound traffic will not be impacted.

Officials said that residents who may be affected by the water shutdown should receive a notice in their mailboxes by the end of Wednesday afternoon.
